The Adventures of Black Beauty é uma série de televisão que foi vagamente baseado nos filmes O garanhão preto (1979) e The Black Stallion Returns (1983), estrelado por Mickey Rooney e Richard Ian Cox, como um treinador e um jockey adolescente.

O show segue a vida do jockey Alec Ramsay (Richard Ian Cox) de quinze anos de idade, seu garanhão selvagem The Black e seu treinador Henry Dailey (Mickey Rooney).
Na série, o pai de Alec morreu antes do início séries, deixando Alec e sua mãe para executar Farm esperançoso. A mostra centra-se tanto sobre a vida na fazenda e esperançoso sobre o circuito de corridas.
Durante a primeira temporada, a maioria das corridas são corridas do circuito profissional e corresponder corridas porque The Black é um cavalo unpapered, ou seja, não há nenhuma prova de sua linhagem.
